Dr James Hunt is an RCVS and EBVS® Specialist in AWSEL, with postgraduate qualifications in both acute and chronic pain management. He works regularly with general practice teams to help improve pain assessment, medication protocols, and clinical confidence across the team.
Training is built around your practice’s needs and interests. Whether you are looking for a focused lunchtime session or ongoing mentorship, sessions can be delivered online or in person.
What we can cover
Sessions can be tailored to any of the following, or a combination that suits your team:
Clinical case support: online and in-person appointments and MSK ultrasound for complex pain cases in dogs and cats
Online review and discussion of your sedation and pre-anaesthetic protocols
Lunch and learn sessions on CRI management, pain scoring, post-operative analgesia, and local anaesthetic techniques
Hands-on tutoring through your morning ops list, with nerve block teaching as you go
Screening, diagnosis, and management of osteoarthritis for the whole practice team
Mentorship for vets and nurses undertaking pain management certificate modules
Practical, clinically grounded, and tailored to you
Training is based on current evidence and delivered in plain, practical terms. Sessions are designed to be immediately applicable to your day-to-day caseload, not just theoretical.
